Nobles' branches throughout Australia have swaging presses for terminating wire rope and NATA accredited tensile testing laboratories. The testing laboratories can be used for destruction testing and proof loading of wire ropes and wire rope assemblies.
Nobles’ wire rope products include general purpose six strand sling, winch and crane ropes ranging from 1.5mm to big lift sling ropes in excess of 100mm diameter. Stainless steel wire ropes and galvanised strand is also stocked for fixed rigging applications.
Nobles are the exclusive Australian stockist and distributor of the German manufactured Casar special wire ropes. The computer designed Casar wire ropes have a high "fill factor" enabling very high breaking loads to be achieved. Many Casar rope constructions also feature a plastic layer between the core and the outer strands that prevents contact between the wires in the outer strands and the core while also trapping in the core lubricant. Most Casar rope constructions feature compacted outer strands for increased abrasion resistance. These factors result in Casar ropes achieving an exceptional working life. Casar ropes have been successfully utilised in numerous applications including mine winding ropes, overhead travelling cranes hoist ropes, mobile and tower carne hoist and luff ropes, ship loading crane ropes and high performance winch ropes.
